Here They Come

At the discretion of their doctor, the babies were born under a caesarean procedure at 33 weeks. Although considered early for regular pregnancies – 40 weeks is considered the norm – the babies had to be born early due to possible complications if kept inside too long. Bethani had said, “I’m definitely nervous about the birth, but I’m also really excited to see them.”

The Day Was Finally Here

The four girls were born healthy and well, despite their sizes ranging from two to four pounds each. The babies, due to their small sizes, were all required to remain in the neonatal intensive care unit of the hospital. They each stayed in their own incubators for their first few weeks after being born until they were ready to be taken home by their parents.
