Linda couldn’t help but feel overly emotional about the entire incident. She iterated, “This was something really special for my granddaughter, Katie. My son adopted her. January 25 was the final day for it!” And getting the young girl the globe that she so obviously wanted was truly the ultimate goal.

Media Catching On

Given that the story had gone viral, the media wanted to be even more involved in the action. They were able to find out when Ivelise and Linda were going to meet up, and they would make sure that they would get to cover the happy reunion.
