A Special Package

Michael and his wife had just welcomed a child into the world, but not in the conventional way that most parents do. They had successfully adopted a 5-year old girl, and his parents, who were now her grandparents, had sent her a special package.

A Snow Globe

Inside the package was a Snow Globe that his parents had lovingly bought and had engraved with a note for his new daughter. Snow globes happened to be common gifts, given that anyone looking at them were usually enthralled with the music and the pretend snow that swirls around in the water. And Michael’s parents were hoping against hope that little Katie would love it just as much as the next person.
