18. Feasted on by pigs

In one of the most gruesome and unlikely stories of unusual deaths, a 69-year-old farmer named Terry Vance Garner from Coos County, Oregon, was found dead on his farm. The cause of death: he was eaten by his hogs. Investigators believe that the pigs may have knocked the farmer over and lost consciousness before being eaten. What’s left of him were his dentures and several mangled body parts.

A man in Lompoc, California named Santiago Alvarado was breaking into a bicycle shop one night. Unfortunately, his criminal efforts went brutally wrong and caused him his life when he fell through the shop’s ceiling, causing the flashlight he placed into his mouth to ram into the base of his skull when he hit the floor.
