These are the vehicles that make a huge difference to people\u2019s daily lives,\u201d<\/strong><\/em> said PC Gerrish.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cIt\u2019s very satisfying when we return a car to a family who need it to drive the children to school, or we take a van back to someone who relies on it for their job.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since the beginning of 2021, the SVIU has recovered or identified over 1,800 vehicles valued at more than $60 million. Notably, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.essex.police.uk\/news\/essex\/news\/news\/2022\/december\/record-sviu\/?__cf_chl_tk=QUV0xcW0LZPSj_sXIshmWaZbJ.kpA2YX9_fMUvY23pI-1710574742-0.0.1.1-1706\">626\u00a0 cars were recovered in 2022<\/a>, marking a 30% increase from the previous year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PC Gerrish proudly said,<em><strong> \u201cWe are continuing to dismantle the organized criminal networks behind these thefts.
