A nationalist Hungarian television crew was recently caught attacking child refugees<\/a>, and tripping a man who was running with a child, causing him to fall down on top of the child.<\/p>\n

According to the Guardian, Petra L\u00e1szl\u00f3 of N1TV was filming a group of refugees running away from police officers, when she stuck out her leg to trip a man who carrying a child in his arms. Stephan Richter, a reporter for the German television channel RTL was on the scene and was able to film the incident.<\/p>\n

After the incident occurred, it was discovered that the Hungarian news website Index had footage of L\u00e1szl\u00f3 kicking a young girl and boy on a separate occasion.<\/p>\n

N1TV, the company that employs L\u00e1szl\u00f3 said that she has been fired, saying that her behavior was “unacceptable.”<\/p>\n

Editor in chief of N1TV Szabolcs Kisberk said in a statement that \u201cThe camerawoman\u2019s employment has today been terminated with immediate effect, the case is now closed for us.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

As we have been reporting in recent weeks, the refugee situation in Europe has been met with both uplifting and disappointing reactions. Germany has been extremely open<\/a> and generous to the refugees, while other places are more resistant. We reported earlier this week that Naguib Sawiris, an Egyptian billionaire and philanthropist<\/a>, has decided to \u201cbe the change\u201d and help remedy the Syrian refugee crisis by purchasing an island in the Mediterranean to provide a new home to those displaced by the civil war.<\/p>\n
