Creek’s mother, Elizabeth, was a coke addict who had a new boyfriend that had his eye on Amber. When young Amber revealed that the boyfriend had been sexually abusing her at just 6 years old, the state removed her from the mother’s custody and placed her with the biological father, Robert. The pair lived in Palatine, IL together.

Although Amber was understandably traumatized by her early experiences, she seemed to heal with time. Unfortunately, this healing would soon stop, as Amber ran into trouble and started hanging out with the wrong crowd in her early teenage years.
