Although most people don’t want to admit it, the reality television show The Bachelor, as well as its spinoff shows, The Bachelorette, Bachelor Pad, Bachelor in Paradise and Bachelor Winter Games have somehow impacted their lives. Some people love them, some people love to hate them, but no matter what the actual truth is, the franchise is here to stay.

Although the Bachelor franchise began with The Bachelor, after season 2, they decided to start The Bachelorette with second runner up, Trista Rehn after the 2nd bachelor didn’t choose her. But thankfully for the ex-cheerleader of NBA team, Miami Heat, she got a chance to find her true love in fire fighter Ryan Sutter.

While the new seasons boast of 13 episodes, including a few special episodes mixed in with that number, the first season of The Bachelorette only had 6 episodes, lasting around a month and a half. Like most of The Bachelor couples, not too many people believed that Trista and Ryan would last. But almost 15 years later, they are still together, happily married and have 2 children together. It would seem that some fairytales actually do come true.
