4. Alligators

Probably one of the more eaten protein’s in the bayou, alligator meat isn’t actually as strange as other’s may assume. Gator’s can be prepared in a number of ways, grilled, barbecued, fried, baked, you name it, someone’s tried it! And just like their friendly swamp-dwelling froggy friends, they too supposedly taste like chicken. But you can be the judge of that.

5. Shark Heads

We know that Sharks’ Fin is a rather enjoyable, yet controversial, delicacy enjoyed by many, but Shark Head? Well, for most Chinese Walmarts, it would seem that this too would be the case. Maybe it’s cooked in a soup like it’s fin counterpart, or maybe it’s sliced up like sushi, we’re really not sure. All we know is that this is one peculiar Walmart find that you probably won’t see in any other supermarket.
