23. The town of Bridgeville
A small town of Bridgeville, California, went up for sale on eBay in 2002. It sold for $1.77 million. The new owner of the town wanted to modify Bridgeville but later changed his mind because of the tremendous amount of work it needed. So he sold the town a few years later.
