The Northern Lights, Alaska

People all over the world travel far and wide in order to get a glimpse of the stunning Northern Lights, and Alaska is one place to make that dream come true. These lights, created due to ‘electrically charged particles from the sun that enter the earth’s atmosphere,’ are probably one of the most impressive sights one will ever see. Oftentimes, the Aurora Borealis are on almost every single person’s bucket list, and from this photo alone, it’s not difficult to understand why.

Horseshoe Bend, Arizona

Situated in a portion of the Colorado River in Arizona is Horseshoe Bend. While its shape may not necessarily be seen while hiking on foot, an aerial shot of the river shows exactly why this portion got its interesting name, since it looks just like a horseshoe. It can also be seen from the cliff above, which is around 4,200 feet high.
