Zhangye Danxia National Park

China’s land mass is quite huge. In fact, it boasts of over 9.5 million kilometers in total. The Zhangye Danxia National Park found in China’s Gansu province cover 200 square miles of that, and it’s covered in massive, colorful mountains that were formed hundreds of years ago. Incredibly, the sand and silt that create its mix of colors had originally sat one on top of each other. But during the earth’s shifting templates, the land moved and created this magnificent splendor. It is now considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site
