Hitler’s Paranoia
Hitler’s purpose in building such a large number of bunkers, aside from them being used as command posts, was also to provide places for his officers to live. Hitler was known to have commanded the planning and construction of all the underground lairs under Nazi rule. And although some may have noted this as a “smart military move,” others deemed it as more of a “an example of his extremely paranoid nature.”
