4. Don’t Use Contacts

If you happen to be a contact lens user but think you have pink eye, then don’t use them until the infection is completely cleared up. First of all, your contact lenses themselves will be infected with the bacteria, which means you will keep getting infected as long as you’re using the same pair. Change your contacts right away and wait until the redness is gone before putting in a new pair of lenses.
