Forcing Her Husband To Choose
According to Sam, when Ruzan had come to terms with the fact that their son had Down’s Syndrome, she gave her husband an ultimatum. He either had to give up their son for adoption or she would leave him. It wasn’t something he was prepared to deal with. But Sam shares that when he spent his first few moments with his newborn baby, “They took me in to see him and I looked at this guy and I said, ‘He’s beautiful – he’s perfect and I’m absolutely keeping him.”
