9.) Painting of Prince Vladimir
Back in 988 AD Prince Vladimir converted to Christianity and then converted all Russians chose Christianity over Islam because they didn’t want to give up alcohol. Islam, was rejected because of its teachings prohibiting booze. Prince Vladimir is reported to have said that ‘the joy of Rus is in drinking.’
