When Laura failed to show up for the first day of school, everyone became worried about where she may be, as this wasn’t normal for the diligent teacher. Her parents immediately filed a missing person’s report on September 5, 2017, wanting to know exactly where she could be. And what was even more alarming was that the educator was apparently four months pregnant, causing her family to be even more afraid for her safety. They quickly began to trace where she was last seen.

When police began looking into where she could possibly be, the first name that came to mind was that of her boyfriend Tyler Tessier. It was noted that the two had been seen together for the last time on a CCTV camera in a Safeway grocery store near Laura’s home on September 2. But it would seem that this would be the very last time anyone would see her alive.
