A Ploy To See What He Would Say

The authorities already had an inkling that Tyler actually had something to do with Laura’s disappearance, if not that he was really completely at fault, for his pregnant girlfriend’s vanishing. In fact, the Chief of Police even shared, “The decision to allow him to participate in that news conference was a calculated decision made by the detectives in this case… done with the approval and knowledge of the victim’s family.”

Finding Her Body

10 days after Laura was reported missing, on September 14, her body was found in the same area where Laura had sent the photo of the empty field in Damascus, Montgomery County to her sister, where she had been with her boyfriend. Her body had been left in a shallow ditch, and both she and her unborn baby were dead. Police had yet to determine the cause of death at the time though, and brought her body in for an autopsy.
