Jury Deliberating The Case
Finally, after 9 years and two trials, the jury finally found Jones guilty of the kidnapping and death of Paige Birgfeld. It would seem that the jury could finally get to a unanimous conclusion that Jones had, in fact, killed her. Even though there were no fingerprints, hair, DNA or other evidence linking him to Paige, in the end, the jury still found Jones guilty. The head of the prosecution, Dan Rubinstein had said, “We pulled 12 people off the street and kept them over the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. They gave it the attention they needed to decide that Lester Jones is the only person who could have done this.”
