“Afraid of her husband”
Evidence in Betsy Faria’s murder included a note found on a laptop. The note, which they thought was Bety’s, stated that she was afraid of her husband. But Russ’ attorneys argued that it could have been planted by someone to frame him. Prosecutors believed this note was sufficient evidence to stop looking elsewhere and accuse Russell Faria – twice – of the murder of his wife, Betsy.
