1,000 Kilometers Away

While the plant was spewing radiation through the broken reactor, the news of the accident wouldn’t be released until the morning of April 28. And this was only because there was a sensor over 1,000 kilometers away that detected the elevation of radiation levels at Forsmark Nuclear Power Plant, all the way in Sweden.
