Getting Too Close

The family had a 4-year old boy who was quite curious about the cat, and so he decided to approach the cage that it was being kept inside. The cat, who was probably just as curious about the little boy reacted as most animals would, instinctively. When the boy got too close, the mountain lion probably believed he was in danger, so he stuck his clawed paw out of the cage and ended up cutting the child so badly that he “suffered cuts and lacerations on the left side of his face.”
