Leo Ferre, French Singer
A popular French singer named Leo Ferre, had owned a chimp named Pépée, whom he loved so much, she ‘was treated like a member of the family.’ But while most chimps would reciprocate love, Pépée was known to be very different. She was temperamental, angry, mean to others and had ‘once even kidnapped a human baby,’ as well as even stealing and stripping guests of their clothes and valuables.
