Making It To The Big Apple
In her hometown of McAllen, there were only 130,000 residents. Garza was working for Charlotte Russe, and was known to be friendly, with a lovely smile. Her friend Christina says that they would talk about moving out of Texas together. She says, “I remember her [Laura] saying she liked the big city.” She even said that Laura was trying to convince her to move north as well. She continues, “I was considering it. But I don’t know about it anymore.”
