In July 2006, fire broke out in his shed. Firefighters were astonished to find out what Cockburn had hidden in the shed. When the police were called in, they saw ammunitions he wasn’t supposed to be in possession with. Among those discovered were infrared sensors, weed killers and other chemicals, as well as canisters of gas and a network of CCTV cameras. He also had a microwave oven set up so that it electrocuted anyone who touched it.
