Fled on foot

Then, on June 14, 2015, Nick arrived at the Blanchardes’ home in Missiouri. Gypsy stayed in another room while Nick stabbed Dee Dee to death. Then, they proceeded to steal $4,400 from the safe Dee Dee kept, and fled out of town. But this time, Gyspy fled on foot – finally free – with her boyfriend, leaving behind her wheelchair and the rest of the things that her mother used to keep her from going away. Meanwhile, Nick mailed the knife he used to kill Dee Dee to himself in Wisconsin to avoid being caught.

An ominous status update

Suddenly, on that same day, Dee Dee and Gypsy’s shared Facebook account sent out a status update saying “That Bitch is dead!” The post sent friends and neighbors wondering what was going on. They started commenting on the post and thought that it was a reference to a movie they may have been watching at that time. Others thought that the account may have been hacked.
