An escalating worry

The neighbors’ worries escalated after hours of wondering. Some went over to the Blanchardes’ house to check firsthand what was happening. While all this was happening, another comment was added to the post saying “I fucken SLASHED THAT FAT PIG AND RAPED HER SWEET INNOCENT DAUGHTER…HER SCREAM WAS SOOOO FUCKEN LOUD LOL.” The comment came from Dee Dee’s account. At that point, people involved in the conversation began to panic.

The bread crumbs

When no one answered at the Blanchardes’ despite Dee Dee’s car being in the driveway, police were called in, but the search warrant wasn’t issued until late into the night. And when police broke into the house, they found Dee Dee’s body in her bedroom. Gypsy was missing. They immediately tracked the Facebook post, which was traced to an IP address that belonged to Nicholas Godejohn in Wisconsin.
