Orphaned and abandoned
Harvey abandoned the ship. Terry Jo was left by herself as the boat sank continued to sink deeper into the dark waters of the ocean. Suddenly, she remembered about the cork lifeboat. She hurried to untie it. When it finally came free, the deck was already under water. She waded through the rising water in a hurried attempt to push the life float into open water.
