Friends Remember Her With Fondness
Once Krebs was caught, the entire Cal Poly State University, where Rachel went to school, could breathe a huge sigh of relief. Knowing that the person responsible for the rapes and deaths of two different students was finally behind bars, and they finally felt safe again. The Vice President of Student Affairs for Cal Poly, Juan Gonzalez said, “This is a time of sadness, but there’s almost tremendous relief. Our hopes and our prayers are that the police will put together a case that is iron-proof.” The students even put together a candlelight vigil in honor of both Aundria and Rachel.
