In spite of their family having money, Toby and Brenda were quite stern with their children. Not only were they were homeschooled and expected to not just do well but be excellent, they were also trained in dancing and music. This was highly influenced by the time that Toby and Brenda had watched a Riverdance performance soon after their family tragedy, and it was said that they ‘found solace in its music and dance.’
