A Simpler Life

Zach had already been living on Marble Island for 6 years, finding it during a time in his life when he was ‘in search of a simpler life.’ And yet the word simple is almost unfitting for the way Zach dwells in the wilderness. Furthermore, Anze explains it so eloquently when he says, “Zach’s spirituality is in a beautiful harmony with the nature here. He grows with the forest and moves with the tides.”

Together with Eric Wyatt and Eric’s mom Cindy, Zach works on the floating oyster farm for around half the day. They need to make sure that the oysters they are growing reach the right size. And when they’re not working, they are making sure that they have the rest of the resources they need to survive, like food and water.
