Putting Holly To Rest
Her family was able to bid Holly farewell even before the trial began, and despite the pain of losing her too soon. And now that her killer has finally been sentenced to life imprisonment, never to get out of jail again, they can rest in knowing that justice has been served. Holly’s cousin, Whitney Duncan, even wrote a song in her honor named “Better Place,” which hopefully her family can find comfort and solace in it, knowing that that is where she finally is.
What her brother believed was a heated discussion between Holly and her boyfriend one spring day in April 2011 was actually not with her boyfriend at all. Holly, a young and beautiful nursing student, had only been in her backyard when she was allegedly kidnapped, never to be seen again.
