Dying In Her Arms

Athena shares how she was begging her sister, saying, “I was like, ‘Don’t leave me!’” She continued, “We couldn’t give up on her. She deserved a chance to get help… she was literally dying in my arms.” As soon as they got to the hospital, doctors whisked her away to begin life saving procedures while Andrea, Derek and Shane could just stand by and wait.

Trying To Stay Positive

Like many others in the same shoes, Andrea, Derek and Shane had no choice but to sit down and wait for the news regarding Andrea’s outcome. Athena explains, “I was trying to stay positive that she was going to make it, but I could see all the blood. It was all over me.”
