The Start Of A Manhunt

Sherri’s disappearance caused a major manhunt to begin. Family, friends and community members helped scour the surrounding areas where Sherri would usually run. Many of the volunteers came from Nor-Cal Alliance for the Missing, Shasta Support Service, and the Shasta Country Guardian Angels, who were used to dealing with cases like this.

Looking for Sherri

The search for Sherri went on for a few days, finding no trace of her anywhere. Aside from family, friends, neighbors, the community and the authorities looking for her during her time away, no information was actually found in her disappearance. The only evidence they had was the cellphone discovered left on the side of Old Oregan Trail and Sunrise Drive. But even that didn’t help with the investigation. It was said that more than 100 people were helping with the search efforts, but no one could find any clues.
