Recovering Slowly

Jaz has since attempted to move on with her life knowing that the 3 men are know rightfully behind bars and will soon answer for their ghastly crimes. Not only has she been reunited with her friends and ready to face her first week of 9th grade, she is also getting the professional help she needs. Jasmine has said of her ordeal, “Sometimes [I feel] good. Sometimes not great. Like sometimes, I have problems sleeping because I close my eyes and I see their faces. I’m scared to sleep because I might have bad nightmares.” And while she still suffers from the unbelievable torture she endured at the hands of those three horrible men, someone amazingly donated money once more in order for her to get a service dog to help her get through these very trying times. But just as her sister expressed, there are still good people in the world, and Earl Melchert is doubtlessly one of them.
