The Others Were Convicted Too

The other men, Peter Bin, and Gabriel Arias were charged with ‘first-degree murder (under a joint-venture theory),’ which meant that even if they didn’t pull the trigger, they were all guilty. They were also charged with ‘attempted armed robbery, home invasion and possession of a firearm,’ and unbelievably, they put in not guilty pleas. But both men would be convicted of their crimes, and while Arias received 7 years in prison for ‘lying to investigators,’ Bin was found guilty of first-degree murder. A sentence that usually gets ‘mandatory life sentence without the possibility of parole.’
