After further investigation, it was reported that Karina was brutally attacked, but according to NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce, she had definitely put up a “ferocious fight.” She even had a bunch of weeds bunched up in one of her hands. They also found other items in the surrounding areas like a used condom, one of her shoes and an ear bud.
