Sighting A Ship
Around two weeks from the time his boat had been hit, he saw a ship in the distance. Callahan believed that this was going to be his rescue. He was able to light a flare, and he thought that someone on the ship had seen him floating in the water. Sadly, it just sailed right by him, never once even seeming to have seen him there.
