Levison Wood, a British explorer and former British Army officer, was highly skeptical of Anton’s story after it came out that Anton likely walked, mostly barefoot, hitchhiked, and snuck onto transport trucks to get to Brazil.
“I smell a little bit of a rat. I don’t know how you even get through those places without a passport,” Wood said.
