Anton was first taken to the hospital by the officers, at which Vidigal decided to look into his past and posted his photo to help identify him. She also sent some emails to missing persons groups in Canada, the RCMP and the Canadian Embassy in Brazil.
“I thought, if he says he’s Canadian, I’m sure I can find his family,” said Vidigal.
