Parkhurst’s Apology

Parkhurst would give out a statement that said, “I know it my heart and I am 99.9 percent sure I hit that little girl with my 1962 tan Buick Special. I am oh so sorry. I can’t change anything but I hope this apology will be accepted and I beg for forgiveness.”

Unusual Coincidence

Even the police officers involved in the case found the circumstances to be quite strange, considering that Parkhurst’s death basically happened in the same way that he had killed that young girl so many years before. Sanford Police Detective Sgt. Matthew Jones, “Mr. Parkhurst appears to be the victim of circumstances of being where he was when he was. It’s probably one of the most unusual set of circumstances that I’ve ever come across. There seems to be a lot of coincidences in this case, which is certainly the strangest I’ve seen.”
