Douglas Parkhurst

At first, Sharrow’s car would head through the baseball park before careening towards a metal fence. Thankfully, there was a 68-year old Vietnam vet named Douglas Parkhurst, who happened to be in front of a group of kids as the car was headed their way. Incredibly, he would get the children out safely in his attempt to keep them from getting hit by the driver.

An Act Of Bravery

One witness shared, “I saw the car pull out of the gate right over there and this guy had some kids with him. The older guy pushed the kids right out of the way. He took the hit for the kids.”
