Mississippi Teen’s Mysterious Case Baffles Police – Months Later New Clues Emerge

And just when the case seemed as though it would remain unsolved, authorities announced in February 2016, that Quinton Verdell Tellis- a 27-year-old man from Courtland- was indicted on capital murder charges in the death of Jessica Chambers. Panola County District Attorney John Champion revealed that he was indicted by a special grand jury.

According to initial reports, Jessica’s last words were “Eric did this to me,” and Ben Chambers claimed she made no mention of Tellis’ name. However, investigators were able to get a hold of solid evidence that pointed to the 27-year-old as the primary suspect.
