“Am I being ‘punked’?”
Kelli tried to remain calm and even jokingly asked, “Is there a dead body in my car?” Officer Shaver informed her that a caller said they saw her putting drugs in her car. When Kelli looked through her car’s back window, she could clearly see the drugs. Her initial reaction was that of confusion and asked, “Am I being ‘punked’?” But confusion turned to resentment when Officer Shaver told Kelli what the caller had told him about her erratic driving and about the drugs she put in her car. “There’s no way…they’re lying to you,” she replied.
