Kent and Jill Easter were charged with false imprisonment for deceiving authorities into arresting Kelli Peters. On October 30, 2013, about two years after the incident, Jill Easter pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 120 days in prison. Kent, on the other hand, fought the charges but was convicted after 90 minutes of jury deliberations.
