Bruce McArthur was a 66-year old self-employed landscaper. To the people who knew little of him, he looked like an ordinary man who worked hard and making gardens look good. Little did they realize that behind that quiet façade was a man with an extremely twisted mind. Murders were happening in Toronto’s gay community and nobody knew who it was.
Police immediately went to work, and with extensive research and a lot of diligence, all clues led to McArthur as the man behind it all.
Initial Charges
Finally, McArthur was arrested in January 2018 for the murder of two gay men. However, cops discovered that the landscaper could have had more victims hidden somewhere. Some of these fatalities could actually go as far back as the 1970s. So, an exhaustive and thorough investigation began. And no one expected to find so much.
