The main focus of the search was McArthur’s apartment, but the authorities also included other possible areas in which the alleged serial killer could have buried the bodies in. From the planters, they were able to recover a total of seven bodies. As for the team behind the apartment search, the police sent ten men to do the exhaustive task.

Combing Every Inch

Det. Sgt. Hank Idsinga is the man behind the whole investigation. He made sure that while there were 10 detectives on the scene, there were two placed there permanently to make sure that things ran smoothly and accordingly. He did this the day after McArthur was charged and arrested with first-degree murder.
