Continuous Check Ups

While the first 48 hours in the hospital were meant to watch over Joanne’s overall wellbeing, it was also to make sure that baby Madison would be well enough to go home. Thankfully, they were released to go home so that they could get to know each other.

Difficulty Bonding

Since Joanne didn’t even know she was expecting a baby, she went on to explain that she found it very hard to bond with Madison at first. She iterates, “Most mums have nine months to bond with their baby before it gets here but I had to do it all really quickly. I just had to cope. I’m alright now though.”
