Calling Out To Her Mum

At first, Joanne thought that the pain was just due to her long day at the bar, and because she had moved some heavy items that day. But she would soon come to realize that it was no ordinary pain. In fact, it became so intense that she called out for her mother.

Joanne shared, “It was quarter to five in the morning when I woke up, with bad pains in my back. I called my mum and she called NHS Direct. They thought I might have a bad kidney infection or appendicitis.”
