Reason unclear

According to Chitwood, it is yet unclear as to why Sarah pushed Alayah down the stairs. But what was clear was that the video shows her pushing the little child down a flight of about five or six steps. And for a little child, like Alayah, those were pretty high. Her fall could have caused her some serious, long-term injuries.

Out of harm’s way

Alayah was immediately checked and given medical treatments. She complained of knee pain, but fortunately, she “did not appear to have any outward signs of injury”. She went back to the daycare the following school week.
